So… StoryNexus (the engine inspired by Fallen London) launched today. I was in the closed beta but eventually stopped following closely because of book and child and… other reasons. I'll be honest: I was disappointed by what they were doing with it, and the choices they made in limiting the possibilities.
This is a bit of a problem because I was planning on my next project after Gravity's Angels/Precarious Toys/Hazard Play/whatever being an interactive storygame. On the other hand, I was planning on working on that game a month or more ago, so maybe it's a problem that solves itself.
I'll be taking another look at it eventually, and maybe some of the issues have been sorted out. It was a closed beta, after all.
